About Us
Here at The Friendly Petsitters, we offer you the peace of mind that your pets are receiving top quality care, in the comfort of their own home, whilst you are away. We understand the importance of pets in our lives and it is our utmost priority to have reliable petsitters to ensure they are comfortable, fed and enriched with care and games whilst you are away. We also understand pets are part of the family and we often think about them whilst we are away.
The Friendly Petsitters offer daily service reports letting you know how your pets are and what they have been up to whilst you are away. We have a growing group of staff who are dedicated to your pet’s care and open up more availability for your required bookings. We also understand that pets get comfortable with certain sitters and we do our best to keep you with the same sitter who knows your pets best! We have included GST to our prices so there are no hidden costs!
Our History
The Friendly Petsitters originally was named Canberra’s Friendly Petsitter which was founded in June 2014 by Kristen Holzapfel, who ran the business as a Sole Trader before employing staff to assist with the large volume of jobs being requested. Kristen later renamed Canberra’s Friendly Petsitter to The Friendly Petsitters.
After completing her book, Kristen passed over ownership to Stephanie
and Dominic in late January - Early February 2020.
Steph & Dom took care and maintained the business for 3 years before handing over ownership to Violet Eason early February 2023, so they could follow their new pathways post graduation.
Violet is an indigenous business owner with large ambitions and hopes to see out the future of The Friendly Petsitters with plans to expand the business around Australia.

Acknowledgements
