Canberra’s Friendly Petsitter is always happy to support local businesses and share pet-related events and promotions on our Facebook page. CFP also has a stall at “A Pooch Affair” and it is always one of our favourite days of the year. Here are a few happy pooches seen at the 2017 event.
Competitions
Canberra’s Friendly Petsitter has a mid year Facebook competition. Prizes are varied and usually include items from small local businesses. You can enter by “Liking, Tagging and Sharing” and winners are drawn at random.
In 2017, our prizes included vouchers for pet photography, dog grooming, carpet cleaning, snuffle mats, cookies (for humans and non-humans), tea-towels and greeting cards.

Charities
Canberra’s Friendly Petsitter likes to support a variety of animal-related charities. Our favourites are those supporting rescue groups, therapy animals and animals affected by Domestic Violence.
In 2017, CFP raised $600 which was split between ACT Rescue and Foster (ARF) and the Tara Costigan Foundation.
In 2018 CFP presented $600 donation to RSPCA’s Project SAFE, assisting pets affected by domestic violence.
In 2019 CFP donated $280 to the Canberra Street Cat Alliance and $280 to Flossie’s Kitten Rescue.
